'The Maze Runner ' is James Dasher's top seller. This novel is in a series of four; The Scorch Trails, The Death Cure and The Kill Order. This book is written in third person, but is based on a teenage boy, Thomas.
One day Thomas comes up in the box, and is put in a place know as 'The Glade' with no memory except his name. The young men there call them selves Gladers, and each one of them is given a task sorted into different departments, and is held together by a Keeper. The Glade is held together by the leader, Alby (the first one to arrive in The Glade). The Glade is surrounded by a huge maze, and the walls to the maze close at sundown and open at sunset. In the maze, during night mechanical creatures called Grievers come out, no one has ever survived a night out in the maze. The objective is to find a way out of The Maze
The day after Thomas comes, the first girl comes the box saying Thomas' name, and is holding a note saying "the last one."
Thomas becomes a runner, being the first one to survive a night in the maze with the keeper of the runners, Mihno. When Thomas and Teresa arrive they change the whole place around.
This book is a combination of both Hunger Games and Divergent. I certainly recommend this book for Divergent and Hunger Games fans. You should defiantly go see the movie, after you finish the book.'The Maze Runner ' is James Dasher's top seller. 'If I stay' is Gayle Forman's top seller. She has also written a squeal to this novel called 'Where She Went'. This book is told from Mia Hall's point of view. Mia is a teenage cellist, in the last year of high school. She waiting to hear back from Julliard (a university that has an amazing music program.) She is the only one in her family that likes classical music, the rest of her family is into rock. Her parents still except Mia for who she is. Mia has a boyfriend that is in a rock band called 'Counting Stars.'
But one day in the winter, school was cancelled due to the weather. Mia and her family; mom, dad and brother Teddy, go on a road trip to visit family and friends. While they are driving, a truck slams into their car, which kills her mom, dad and brother.
While Mia cruises the hospital, and watches her loved ones. Her whole body is unconscious, Mia choses whether she stays or goes with her parents and brother.
This novel got me from start to end, and never got boring. Even though this book is really short, that does not mean it is not good. I recommend this novel for people that into teen fiction/romance. If you enjoyed 'The Fault In Our Stars' and books John Green has written, then this is the novel for you. The movie for 'If I Stay' has recently come out, and still is playing in the theatres.'If I stay' is Gayle Forman's top seller. She has also written a squeal to this novel called 'Where She Went'. The Selection trilogy is the biggest thing Kiera Cass has wrote. This trilogy contains; The Selection, The Elite and The One. This trilogy is told from America Schreave's point of view, and is told in the future. This book is the first book in The Selection trilogy.
There are eight caste; one are the richest and eight are the homeless.
America grew up living in the fifth caste and is the middle child of five. America has been secretly dating Aspen Leger who is in the sixth caste. They have been meeting each other almost every night in America's treehouse in her back yard. One day there is an announcement from the King.
The prince is ready to get married, there will be a selection. Anyone from anywhere can enter. One person from each state will be drawn into the selection. The prince will narrow the selection down into one overtime, and that lucky girl will become the new princess. America doesn't want to enter but Aspen asked her and her parents bribe her with money.
America gets drawn from the selection. When she meets Prince Maxon she tells him straight up she does not want to be there. Maxon and America become friends, but Maxon feels something for her. Maxon keeps America until she wants to leave.
The book is unpredictable and you can never tell what choices America makes. I recommend this book for the Matched fans. The novel has some romance in it but is mostly science fiction. The Selection trilogy is the biggest thing Kiera Cass has wrote. This trilogy contains; The Selection, The Elite and The One. Beryl Young is one of my favourite authors, she writes about her life and the adventures she goes on. This novel is told in the present tense. Follow the Elephant is my favourite book that Beryl has wrote. It is about a boy named Ben Leeson who started playing video games and skipping school since father passed away from lung cancer. Ben never thought he would go to India and especially not with his grandma. But the ticket was already bought. So off went Ben and his grandma to India to find Shanti (grandma's old pen pal). Ben thought going to India would be the worst seventeen days of his life. Ben and gran go everywhere in India looking for Shanti Mukherjee. They meet so many new people and go on so many adventures. You learn about the Indian culture, and how different their life style is in India compared to Canada. Ben was strangely compelled to be near live elephants, and the Hindu boy god Ganesh. Ben never thought he would like it in India but he thought wrong. Going to India turned his life back around, to the way it was before his dad passed away.
This novel is fascinating and never gets boring. It is one of my favourite books I ever read, maybe it will be yours too. It is a fast read, and you can't put it down, you want to know what happens next. I recommend this book if you enjoy reading books about adventure. This novel is teen fiction and never gets old, you can read it over and over again.Beryl Young is one of my favourite authors, she writes about her life and the adventures she goes on. Catching Fire is the second book in the Hungers Games trilogy. The three books in this trilogy are; The Hunger Games, Catching Fire and Mocking Jay, which are told from Katniss Everdeen's point of view. This novel is placed in the future. Katniss lives in a district twelve; one of twelve districts called the Panem, which the Capitol is in control of. There are three parts in the book; The Spark, The Quell and The Enemy.
In the previous book Katniss and Peeta Melllark were tributes in the 74th hunger games. Katniss and Peeta had a fake love story going on to get sponsors to support them. They won and got out of the arena safely. On camera they act like they are truly in love but nobody knows what is actually happening behind the scenes.
The head gamemaker, Secane Crane dies and it's unknown how. Snow replaces Secane with Plutarch Heavensbee, who in secret tries to thrust a rebellion against the Capitol. A year after the games is the 75th which is also called the quarter quell. This year is different instead of the normal way, the Capitol changes it up a bit. The Capitol makes the victors from the previous years get drawn back into the reaping. In the arena Peeta starts falling for Katniss again. While Katniss is in the middle of Gale and Peeta. The results in the quarter quell are unpredictable and changes the Panem forever.

'Four' is Veronica Roth's latest book and is the prequel of the Divergent trilogy. Throughout the three books of the Divergent trilogy; Divergent, Insurgent and Allegiant, the books are basically being told from Tris Prior's side of the story. But 'Four' is told from Tobias Eaton's point of view. Four is a collection and is written into four short stories; The Transfer, The Initiate, The Son and The Traitor.
This novel is from when Four (which is Tobias' nickname in Dauntless) transfers from Abnegation to Dauntless, during his initiation. Four’s overall ranking is first place. He turns down the opportunity becoming the youngest dauntless leader and becomes a initiation instructor instead for the transfers and the rest of the time he works in the control room. Two years after his initiation, Four meets Tris and his life just stops. Four felt like they were connected and went through the same thing as he transferred from Abnegation just like Tris.
'Four' and 'Divergent' are told at the same period of time and are told from different people's perspective. Four gives you a lot more detail about Divergent, more then I ever got from reading a book before and trust me I've read lots.
I recommend this book for all the Divergent fans out there. If you are going to read this novel you should read the Divergent trilogy first. Even though it's the prequel, when you read the Divergent trilogy you will understand the story more. That’s why the Divergent trilogy was released before 'Four'.'Four' is Veronica Roth's latest book and is the prequel of the Divergent trilogy.
