The empathy and compassion that the author has for the children dealing with these diagnoses is apparent as well as his understanding of the caregivers position of wanting to help but often being on the receiving end of difficult behaviors. Awareness of the syndromes and how they interact and affect each other is invaluable to parents, teachers, and physicians.
