Southpointe High is the last place Lucy wanted to wind up her senior year of school. Right up until she stumbles into Jude Ryder, a guy whose name has become its own verb, and synonymous with trouble. He's got a rap sheet that runs longer than a senior thesis, has had his name sighed, shouted, and cursed by more women than Lucy dares to ask, and lives at the local boys home where disturbed seems to be the status quo for the residents. Lucy had a stable at best, quirky at worst, upbringing. She lives for wearing the satin down on her ballet shoes, has her sights set on Juilliard, and has been careful to keep trouble out of her life. Up until now. Jude's everything she needs to stay away from if she wants to separate her past from her future. Staying away, she's about to find out, is the only thing she's incapable of. For Lucy Larson and Jude Ryder, love's about to become the thing that tears them apart.

a lot of emotion

This book hooked me right from the beginnning. The way the authour started this book was amazing and I couldn't have picked a better start to the story.

Crash was also probably the saddest romance book I've ever read. I am being completely honest here, when I say that I probably cried from the moment Lucy met Jude till the last page of this book. I used who knows how many tissues, and right now, I'm feeling QUITE guilty...I tried not to cry, I really did, but I think it's impossible for this book.

Jude stole my heart out the moment he was introduced to the story....which was pg.1.
"He was tall, his shoulders wide, and he had those dark ringed eyes with black lashes that had the power to undo a girl's best intentions."

Honestly though, if I met a guy like Jude in real life...I'd probably start walking the other way.

But I am just a sucker for these kinds of books. They are extremely predictable, but I like it. I'll never have enough of them.

This book was simply amazing. I definitely recommend this to all contemporary romance fans out there. Especially to fans of Beautiful Disaster (actually, I feel like Crash is the YA version of it...) and books like Perfect Chemistry.

Every relationship in Lucy's life, whether with her parents, friends, or boyfriend, is incredibly unhealthy. There are a lot of unrealistic things in the novel. Some are comically unbelievable like Jude being pulled out of the stands to star in a football game at halftime. There are some really troubling events in the book that are not handled well. Lucy is assaulted twice in this book, yet she seems more upset by Jude's silent treatment than by being attacked by three guys in her own backyard. The numerous Beatles references were the only entertaining thing about this book. Lucy and Jude had way too much working against them, and their self-destructive tendencies made them frustrating characters.
