The fates of a warrior reborn and a seductive Dragonseeker are irrevocably entwined in the new Carpathian novel by #1 New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan, "the queen of paranormal romance" (J. R. Ward). At long last you are truly back with us... Zev Hunter was an elite warrior, a dark-blood dealer of death to rogue Lycans who preyed on mankind. He was a loner, never given to personal attachments, and damned fierce at his job. But Zev begins to question his past and his purpose when he awakens in the darkness of the sacred cave of warriors -- and is soothed back to consciousness by the sensuously familiar voice of one woman, the woman who has haunted his fantasies for centuries. She was Branislava, member of the Dragonseeker clan... Mother Earth called the ancients to witness your rebirth... I read my hardback copy of Dark Blood, the 3rd book in a trilogy in the Dark series--Dark Lycan, Dark Wolf, and Dark Blood. I greatly enjoyed it, though at first I was disappointed that the story wasn't about Gary --a human ally that was gravely wounded in an earlier book in the trilogy. I had wanted to "see" Gregori convert him into a Carpathian, rather than read the...aftermath.

Great end to the Dark --trilogy-- Dark Lycan, Dark Wolf, and Dark Blood, but I hope we never hear from the evil mages --I know there...may...be good ones-- and/or the evil werewolves and/or werewolf/vampire hybrids again. Might be fun to read more about the good mages, though.

Gah! I keep forgetting to rate and comment. This was a good novel BUT, I was disappointed that it didn't get good until around halfway through. Once at that point, it was hard to put down. Most of Feehan's novels start good and remain that way til the end. This one? Not so much. It also did a lot of repeating and had a lot of filler, so I skipped a lot too. But all in all, it's worth a read,if you can make it to the middle, the rest is awesome!

I've read all of this series as they have come available and love them all. They are somewhat predictable but always good. Another good author is Christina Dodd, similar type of stories.

I always enjoy these books. They are predictable: Carpathian about to turn, strong but emotionally wounded woman, they find each other, they fight a powerful enemy, and they triumph. And I always enjoy them!

How long is this going to be on order? Should be in the library by now!

I can never get enough of Christine Feehan. Cant wait for the next book. I love the Carpathian series. The love and passion the Carpathians have for all their people is wonderful. All of her series books are great.
