A collection of short articles written by Rick Bragg that have all been previously published in various magazines such as Southern Living or Gourmet Magazine. He writes about his love of the South. About the people, the food and the culture. His writing is warm and often funny and his great fondness of his southern upbringing is very clear.

Charming essays, full of love and deep knowledge of the Southern spirit. Reading the essays makes you understand what makes the Southerners stay even in face of any kind of adversity. A sweetness for one day at a time.
