This reinvention of the space-time continuum will have your brain doing somersaults if you try and make sense of the endless justifications for all these people doing what they are doing. Arnold is actually pretty good in this film, acknowledging his age & referring to his cyborg status as outdated in a self-deprecating way. John, Reese, & Sarah are all rebooted with digital domain visuals that exploit the latest variation of pixel placement. It's entertaining, but still begs the question as to why any of these cyborgs hasn't destroyed the human race completely given their ability to time travel. Again, don't overthink the plot.

I actually think this might be my favorite Terminator movie. I feel like it just works the best with what's given to it, and the changes that are present make sense.

This boring muddle adds little new to the franchise, and is only worthwhile for dedicated fans. Emilia Clarke is abundantly more impressive in "Game of Thrones."

I own the DVDs of the original series and watch them every so often. I was surprised to come across this one, but interested to see how it fit into the sequence. I am not a higbrow film watcher and had few expectations for this film, but I only watched 20 minutes. The acting was lame. Sarah Connor in particular was weak and just a caricature of the original (and Lind Hamilton's acting isn't all that strong).

A good addition to the franchise. Way better than the last one. Time to let this series sit for a decade then reboot it afresh.

Maybe it was pure nostalgia, but I LOVED this movie. It truly was in keeping with the franchise more than any of the films after Terminator 2. The action was non-stop, the twists and comedy were engaging. As an "Old Fogey" (staring down 40) who remembers the originals I couldn't help but smile throughout. It has more in common with T:2 than the original terminator, but I loved it. Even James Cameron has declared this as the T:3 the world deserved. Unfortunately many in the world did not agree. It's a great popcorn, mostly brainless (other than some timey wimey wibbly wobbly stuff...including a Doctor Who alum), great summer flick. Shakespeare it is not...but I didn't go in looking for something socially conscious and high brow.

And, speaking about Arnold Schwarzenegger (who's now 70 years old) (and don't he look it?) - Like, hasn't this tired, rickety, old relic (whose net worth is estimated at being $400 million) had enough of the celebrity limelight, yet!!?? Hasn't he!!??

And when it came to his role here in Terminator Genisys as The Guardian (aka. "Pops") - Man, I can't begin to tell you what a total embarrassment he was in his part. He sure looked like a doddering, old fool to me (kicking ass one more time) (Spare me!), and uttering some of the most stupid and inane lines imaginable.

And when he did his hideous "shit-grin" smile (for about the 4th time) - I can't begin to tell you how much this old buffoon made my skin crawl, big-time!

Yep. After having to tolerate the utter nonsense in this Sci-Fi, time-travel dud - To me, Schwarzenegger is utterly despicable.

Bad- the worst one yet. The time traveling element doesn't even make sense anymore- where did they get the time traveling machine from, when they were in the 80's? It wasn't built until after the machines took over. Stupid.

Sarah: Pops! I thought you were dead.
T1: No. Just upgraded.
T1: I'll be back.
T1: It is possible if he were exposed to a nexus point in the time flow when you were in the quantum field. ... A nexus point is an event in time of such importance that it gives rise to a vastly different future.
T1: I'm old, not obsolete.
Sarah: Bite me.
T1: That is a very immature response
