This deserves a positive review.
I understand the previous person's grievances. I was thinking there would be battle scenes like in the tv show which would make it entertaining for a guy friend of mine, but it really just had the Viking culture/history (which was what I was interested in) specifically their presence in the Northern islands of Scotland.
It might seem verbose, but it gets better/more interesting further in and there are plenty of beautiful shots of the outer Scottish islands and Norse fjords.
It reignites my interest in reading Norse sagas and Celtic legends.

Waste of time. If you want Viking battles then see the TV series with Ragnar Lothbrok. In this one hour, yappy and tedious show, the battle of Larg gets about 3 minutes.
And despite the hyperinflated, and inaccurate, description the 500 Scottish knights are a no show. You will not get back the time it will take you to realize you've been taken.
