This do-it-yourself guide shows you how to program and build projects with the Arduino Uno and Leonardo boards and the Arduino 1.0 development environment. It gets you started right away with the simplified C programming you need to know and demonstrates how to take advantage of the latest Arduino capabilities. You'll learn how to attach an Arduino board to your computer, program it, and connect electronics to it to create your own devices. A bonus chapter uses the special USB keyboard/mouse-impersonation feature exclusive to the Arduino Leonardo-- Source other than Library of Congress.

I loved this book! so no, i dont agree w comment #1. I,ve taken 1 year of intensive Electronics, plus some C++ programming, and this is not too basic a manual at all! In fact, it is not only comprehensive, but logically laid out, easy to follow and implement, and gives just the right amount of info in order to do the project, and understand why/how it works.

'Evil' Geniuses aren,t geniuses at technical stuff naturally, we all need a book or 2 to help us on our way; its what we do with the learning, how fast we learn it, and how we assimilate it, that sets us apart.

ps I suggest borrowing this book twice: once to use the 'shopping list' provided to buy and gather the 'ingredients' on the 'net, and to download any of the free software referenced; and the next time, to try the experiments! Im slow at doing stuff, so i need 3 go-rounds: next 2 will be the gathering, then the doing.

Another huge plus of this book: it lists a whole bunch more Evil Genius books you can look for, and look forward to browsing through! so Commenter #1 should be redirecting his/her energies to reading the more advanced, application-specific tomes.

A book like this one is a gift.

It is useful at very basic level.
More like a collection of sale literature of a small number of available Arduino hardware kits.
At a middle school level may be!
