This film positively smolders with a rare & sinister brilliance, finding its center of gravity in one of my favorite horror themes of all time: the evil that results when people are unable to find peace with personal loss & grief. In the first 20 to 30 minutes you're quickly fed a Golden Corral™ ice cream sundae buffet of bizarre, graphic, & chilling scenes of violence that slowly begin to centralize around the dark undercurrent of what's REALLY going on in Marsh County. To my fellow reviewers who couldn't keep up with what was in fact a carefully revealed & ultimately very transparent storyline, I'm confident that there will be more suitably didactic, repetitive plots available to you elsewhere ("This is a scary-looking house...see it? Here's a pretty girl...see her? She looks scared, doesn't she. See this scary figure she's scared of? Goooood…"). In the end there's nothing quite as frightening or quite as hopelessly destructive as the blackness of a heart that's unwilling to let go. Bonus material: This isn't my face...!?! CR

I came across this film and took a chance, however some aspects were done well, with production, direction and acting, there were too many snags to make this a good film. You are never provided a reason of why people went crazy, where this evil came from, or who were these people that seemingly could appear out-of-nowhere with murder on their minds.
Kenneth Welsh (lots of tv acting of late), whom plays the doctor/evil guy, was a familiar face in the see of unknowns for me.
Just too far fetched without any real sense or suspense to make this worth watching again.

An over-curious detective (Aaron Poole) discovers that his small town has a grotesque supernatural underbelly when he takes an injured man to the hospital. As the facility is surrounded by a mob of mysterious cloaked figures, he must protect helpless patients from night-shift doctors and nurses who have gone insane. ~ Violet LeVoit, Rovi

Schlock, schlock, and more schlock with overacting all around and a ridiculous storyline that aims for H. P. Lovecraft but settles for Scooby Doo instead. Nice effects though, and the pacing moves quickly---albeit towards ultimate disappointment.

Another movie I wasted my time on! Not scary just weird and left me with questions. Not recommended.

This has got to be the worst movie I've ever bothered to watch till the end. I'm asking myself why did I suffer it. I'm not a gambler. But I think it was the gambler in me to see who would be the survivors............ Only got one right.

meh. I read others' comments here and thought I'd take a chance. Might have been bearable if it didn't have the most inane plot possible.

Lots of gore and a very confusing storyline. It felt like they were trying to keep you on your toes by having twists and turns but it just came off as jumbled.

Gore, Goop, but where is the story?...you cant have a good thriller/horror/sci-fi WITHOUT A STORY, or at least a semblance of one that makes some sense. Sad because as a B-movie type horror this one had a chance to be an okay timewaster but instead just becomes yet another Canadian tax break of a film that seems to be half finished then completed in whatever time was allotted and thrown on dvd.

Strange, goopy cosmic horror movie made on a shoestring budget. I admired that the film was outside of the horror mainstream and made use of mostly practical special effects, but the plotting, while ambitious, was somewhat incoherent. Lovecraft fans and John Carpenter fans will find something to appreciate. I did like that the ending made no sense. Starring nobody you've ever heard of.
