4.5 enthusiastic stars for this debut thriller from a dynamic writing team.

"Sometimes you get what you wish for and sometimes you get what you deserve." The story of Amber and Daphne shows us the many faceted truths of this statement. Unlike Gone Girl or The Girl on the Train, you have a character you can root for. You also get a vivid inside look at what it is like to live with a sociopath and the plot twists keep on coming. Too thrilling to put down. You will find yourself looking for excuses to read this book.

So this was such a fun read! It will probably be a short review, so that I don't ruin any surprises!

It's fun, to me, to read about the lives of the 1%. The clothing, the houses, the nannies, and the special clubs and societies that make up their daily lives. Amber, the main character, envies these lives and has devised a plan to be the next and last Mrs Parrish. She is a sociopath and has no morals what so ever. The lengths she went to to secure her spot was jaw dropping.

I loved that there were only 3 main characters- homewrecker, wife and husband. I didn't get confused about who was who and were they belonged in the story. The story flows effortlessly and kept me engaged. Plot twists left me surprised and wondering how exactly this story would end. I was not disappointed!

I give this a 4.5 star read! The Last Mrs Parrish is available at your local bookstore, online retailer or library so you should definitely read it! Let me know what you thought once you're done!

Happy Reading!

Things are not always what they seem. Plotting and scheming ensue in the Constantine sisters' novel and the December 2017 Reese Witherspoon book club selection. Not the fastest pace, but you can't help but want to know how it will all play out.

Stopped on Chapter 16

I loved this one and hated to put it down. Starring a cast of some really nasty people doing some really horrible things - it was so hard to resist flipping ahead to see what was going to happen.

I needed a light but captivating story and Mrs. Parrish didn't disappoint. It's a story with an unexpected twist.

The Last Mrs. Parrish is a fast paced novel featuring devious plot twists and turns that is told through the alternating perspectives of two women who both have their own agendas. Overall it was an enjoyable read that kept my interest and made me want to read "just one more chapter..."late into the night, however I didn't feel that it fully embodied the depth and intricacy of Gillian Flynn's "Gone Girl", despite it being hailed as its successor. Readers who've enjoyed similar novels such as "The Girl Before" and others that feature unreliable characters in the psychological thriller genre are sure to enjoy this novel.

This is the successor to GONE GIRL: sex, intrigue, and deceit.
