Awful movie...

Found it to be boring and I ended up watching it completely by stages. I would shut it off and do something else around the yard and then go back to watching it. Just not my type of movie.

Agree that this is a decent enough spy story. There are enough twists and turns and double agents that it stay interesting yet not so many that one cannot follow the story. At times, the acting gets a little overly dramatic, sort of in the style of Humphrey Bogart but all in all, it is watchable for sure.

This is a well acted, entertaining, action/spy movie with good sets. Not too long, not excessively violent and nothing in it to 'break your brain'. There is nothing very 'original' about it but definitely worth the time investment.

Spy story with some clever twists and turns. Rhys-Meyers is fine, but Thirlby tries too hard as his "accidental" love interest. Would have liked a greater role for the always interesting John Hurt!

Reset to 1989 following the fall of the Berlin Wall, the film was based on the 1977 novel "The Damascus Cover" which dramatized the story of Ari Ben-Zion, an Israeli agent as a pawn in an exfiltration mission under the watchful eyes of the Mossad, Mukhabaratm and a Syrian general. A decent cloak and dagger film with a reasonably big twist at the end. If the Berlin Wall can fall, anything is possible...

Interesting Mid-East places but filmed in Morocco: Mossad Training Facility Negev Desert; Al-Qusayr Airforce Base, Damascus, Syria; Jewish Quarter in Damascus.

I am just an old soldier... who has seen too many children die for nothing.
Over the years, ... Men like him, no matter where cannot be allowed to grow. It would destroy my country.
Is that true?
-I'm done with lies.
You're a girl, breaking all their rules. Even being around you is making them less holy.
And sometimes you end up... where you do not want to be.
-The Jewish Quarter.
Yes, they can come and go, but never a whole family.
President Assad wants to keep them. They are a bargaining chip.
