Frederick Lowe I owe you a big thank you for writing the score to My Fair Lady. The stage version had two of the theaters greatest singers in Rex Harrison and Julie Andrews. Oh, to have seen this live on Broadway. Wait, there is a way to relive this musical on CD. Thankfully, Columbia Records has kept this recording available. It should be enjoyed by many generations to come.

The compositions on this album are great: three of them have turned into standard jazz tunes:
I could have danced all night
On the street where you live
Get me to the church on time
Another five tunes are wonderful. However, the album was of a production for the stage, and required some acting and stage voices, and these detract a bit from the musicality of the album, which after all is among the great musicals from mid-20th Century.
