This is an interesting, accessible guide to Shakespeare's works, his personal life, and the world in which he lived. Epstein's addition of historical and regional information helps give context to the Bard's work while also drawing the reader in to the world of Elizabethan England. I recommend this guide for anyone interested in a quick overview of Shakespeare's work and world, and especially for students doing research.
