After attempts by his mother, his father, his brothers and sisters, and even two policemen, Mortimer finally goes to sleep

Firefly Books Ltd
It's Mortimer's bedtime, but he would much rather sing his rowdy song. Mom, Dad and even the police can't get him to quiet down, until they become so distracted by each otherthat Mortimer drifts off to sleep.
Mortimer is the story “... of a little boy who won’t go to sleep at night and who drives his family crazy with his rowdiness ... [It] reads as though it was written by a parent driven frantic by one of the contemporary but compulsive stages of childrearing ... [It is] of tremendous appeal to kids and parents at the same stage.”—Globe and Mail

The book “Mortimer” by Robert N. Munsch is a really good children's book. This book was originally published in 1983. It used to be my favourite bedtime story when I was younger and I used to always sing along. This book was very popular back when I was in kindergarten and suddenly no one reads this anymore, which is the disappointing part. This book became underrated and I am sad that has happened. Mortimer is very relatable and brings back many childhood memories as well. I recommend this book to be read as a bedtime story or at a read aloud. It’s a really fun book and it will keep young kids entertained. 5/5 rating

My preschool class really enjoyed this book and sung along during Mortimer's song. This storyline is more simple than some other Munsch books which means the children can catch on quicker.
