This is a cute little book for teaching young children about firefighters and firetrucks. But it was published in 1946 and some of the ideas are from that era. For example, in this book, the firefighters allow a family to go in and out of a burning house to bring out items such as a couch, lamp, tables, and chairs. Of course, this is not allowed in today's day and age, for obvious reasons. If you get this book, be prepared to explain to your little one(s) that it is NOT safe to return into a burning building to collect "stuff," that they need to get out and stay out for safety.
