Baker & Taylor
The royalty protection officer who was responsible for guarding Princess Diana for nearly seven years discusses the events of her troubled life during that period and offers his insights into her complex character.

Independent Publishing Group
The author of this remarkable memoir was a crucial figure in the Princess's life for many years. In that time, he became a close and trusted confidant. His first-hand account takes issue with many of the the so-called "facts" about the Princess that have appeared in books and the media since her death, providing an affectionate, if not always uncritical, insight into this complex, troubled, but ultimately fascinating woman.

I have read several books about Diana and this is my favorite. The author writes of what it was like to protect the princess on her excursions at home and abroad. He seems to have had a good relationship with Diana and especially her boys.

At the end of the book, he explains how the Diana's death may have been prevented if she would have accepted the security that was offered by the palace but that she did not want because of her feelings toward the royal family.
