This film explores the adult relationship of two siblings with their mother, their late father, a husband, two children, and most of all with each other. The siblings contemplate their childhood together and also the strains in their adult relationships with others and also their relationship together. You need to listen closely to the dialog to learn as much as you can. This was nominated at Cannes for the Palme d'Or and it is an amazing collaboration between the great French director, Andre Techine and two of France’s great and prolific actors, Catherine Deneuve, and Daniel Auteuil.
