Just a really enjoyable epic fantasy adventure based in Greek mythology--each time I watch this I am surprised at how much I enjoy it. I haven't seen the original that inspired this remake, but I did pick up on a couple of jokes where they reference moments from the original movie. The actors do a nice job, the world is impressive, and there is a nice blend of action and storytelling that makes for a satisfying viewing.

I loved Ray Harryhausen movies when I was a kid. He always delivered the good stuff - skeletons with scimitars, bronze statues that came to life, Greek heroes and dinosaurs and giant killer bees. So, when my Mom asked me which opening movie I wanted to see, "Clash of the Titans" or "Raiders of the Lost Ark," I didn't hesitate for a moment. "Clash" won hands down. And boy did it deliver! Perseus had to fight the Medusa, the Kraken, and the whims of the gods. It was great stuff. Of course, I realized the following weekend, when Mom and I returned to see "Raiders," just how misguided my choice had been. How was I to know? "Clash" hasn't aged very well, and "Raiders" went on to be a classic, but I still have a soft spot for Harryhausen and claymation flicks like "Clash of the Titans." Anyway, for exactly one week in early June of 1981, it was my favorite movie of the summer.

This movie is about Greek mythology and I really got the “Ancient Greek” feeling from it. Perseus is asked to somehow deal with a giant creature known as the Kraken. The Kraken is not originally from Greek mythology, but rather from Norse mythology. It is a massive sea creature that destroys ships. How can Perseus defeat something so large? The gorgon Medusa is of such a nature that if someone looks at her, they turn to stone. Perseus wants to use the head of Medusa and turn the Kraken into a large stone, ultimately defeating it. Not the best movie - the execution could’ve been better, and it became very bland and boring at times.

A visually astonishing mytho-action movie. There is little character development, and the plot is simple, but its well paced and entertaining.

Just another extremely sleep inducing remake to another NONSENSE celluloid that is instantly forgettable period.

Has a good, entertaining story and the effects were well-done. Sam Worthington did a great job starring as Perseus.

I have seen this version of "Clash of the Titans" probably about 30 times over the years. I have also seen the 2010 version (newer version) several times. Although, the newer version has great special effects, the original is in my estimation superior if for noting more than the actors which star in the original.

Surprisingly a very good movie for what it is. Creatures are excellent, characters are good, story line is interesting. I was surprised how much I enjoyed this movie.
