An entertaining tale of life back in the Great Depression as a boy and his sister visit their grandmother's small town over the summer. Grandma is always out to win though she will act disinterested. With the audio version, you get to hear the tunes for some of the old-time songs crooned, not necessarily sung.

Lovely story of two children from depression era Chicago who spend a week each year visiting their Grandmother in small town America. Grandma loves to razz the other locals when they invade her privacy! This is a charming story that's not to be missed. The reader does a terrific job on this compact disc.
