SUMMARY: The animals on Farmer Brown's farm are busy again. For each letter of the alphabet, an animal is preparing for a picnic. G is for goats grooming, W is for watermelons waiting. The animals have their picnic, but are completely worn out and end with Y is for yawns yawning and Z is for zzzzzz.

ILLUSTRATIONS: The illustrations are not as clean in this click clack book. Some of the pictures are muddy and some do not have enough detail to clearly show what is happening on the page.

THE GOOD: There are some different words here than you might normally find in an ABC book such as D is for ducks dashing and E is for eggs emptying. This offers a chance to build more vocabulary for the younger kids.

THE NOT AS GOOD: The story itself was rather disjointed. Not everything happening had to do with the impending picnic such as: F is for flippity flip (a lot of sound words are used for letters) and O and P stand for only one pig peeking. I had no idea what was happening with the animals until I got to the end of the story.

AGE RECOMMENDATION: I think 3 year olds will have a harder time with the concepts in this book so I would recommend for ages 4-6.
