A very good updated version of "Beowulf" in modern English.

I read this aloud to my 4 and 8 year olds and they LOVED it. They were very sad when it went back. I would far rather read this style of remade classic than fairy tales. It is a challenge to make it through, but the language is rich and complex without being overwhelming for the speaker.
