HARPERCOLL

Despite dating one vampire and living with another, Rachel Morgan has always managed to stay just ahead of trouble . . . until now.

A fiendish serial killer stalks the Hollows, and no one living in or around Cincinnati—human, inhuman, or undead—is safe.

An ancient artifact may be the key to stopping the murderer—a mysterious relic that is now in the hands of Rachel Morgan, fearless independent bounty hunter and reckless witch. But revealing it could ignite a battle to the death among the vast and varied local supernatural races.

Rachel's been lucky so far. But even she can't hide from catastrophe forever.

Well, we knew what to expect with one of my fave characters, but I don't have to like it. Still enjoying the series, and still a GREAT read. Fun, fast-paced, and headed in a pretty obvious direction. I'm looking forward to seeing how Rachel handles what Harrison has planned for her. . .

I have regretfully concluded that I am through with this series. The action’s taken a decidedly dramatic turn and being privy to Rachael’s “Oh my god what am I doing I can’t do this I won’t do this I’m going to do this I don’t like doing this I can’t believe I’m doing this what have I become I don’t like what I’ve become I can’t believe what I’ve become” angst is no longer of interest to me. Plus, I’m sulking because Harrison killed off my favorite character.

Contains mild spoilers.

Sure parts of the ending were heartbreaking sad but there was still great action with several issues being resolved. Well with 4 more books there has to be some changes...I think every reader had to have suspected something was going to happen with this certain character.

Really enjoyed the scene where Ceri meets Trent & Quen. Ceri was AWESOME!

Very surprised at the development of Trent's character...WTH! There has to be a reason Rachel finds him so darn handsome and his voice so alluring. He was the mysterious hunk with reasons for his vices...now he's just criminal. Aren't they supposed to get together eventually? Or maybe Ceri and him? Harrison is not following a predictable path. Trent will first have to do a lot to redeem his character or perhaps new facts/circumstances will arise about the criminal act in this book!

Took me this far into the series to finally get into these characters...

Another top notch entry in the Rachel Morgan story. Lots of intrigue and adventure and a satisfying plot. One of my favorite series at the moment.
