Marvelous film, with the principal role played by the screenwriter, directed by his son. Set in Prague in 1988, giving a glimpse into the transition from Soviet occupation. A 55-yr.-old cellist in straitened circumstances agrees to marry a Russian woman and is left with her child when she defects. Beautifully photographed. An amazing child actor. Won Best Foreign Film. Recommended.
