Hilariously satiric novel about Washington politics and especially the doings of the Supreme Court. Buckley is not only funny, but has wide knowledge of how Washington functions, which provides strong underpinnings to his satire. I've found a new writer!
Snappy, breezy, very lighthearted, very entertaining. Some funny political moments, but the key to Buckley's success has always been fun, absurd, yet somehow 100% believable plots. Maybe not as deep or profound as Little Green Men or Thank You For Smoking, but definitely the most fun thing I've read in a while.
