A dismally failed attempt at the sort of humor found in blazing saddles, naked gun and support your local sheriff. Poor effort

I'm a huge fan of the original show so I didn't much care for this as it is almost always impossible to top the classics. However if you never watched the show then I really think you will enjoy this. I would recommend this to fans of off beat comedies.

Cute, but dumb, but if that's what you're looking for, this'd be great for you, it's not annoying and the pace is great.

I watched the movie Get Smart; it is a secret agent movie. Steve Carrel is in control as Maxwell Smart, the novice agent often out of his depth but never out of options in this action comedy putting him against the nuclear scheme of the evil spy group KAOS. Anne Hathaway partners with Max as ever capable agent 99, fast forward to the ending, the agents win. By defeating the spy group KAOS in their attempt to blow up the concert. They defeat them by agent 99 tackling the head of the concert and not allowing the orchestra from the last note of Ode to Joy by Beethoven.

Grew up on the original so I didn't know what to expect. Liked it. Worth watching. Good entertainment.

Steve Carrell. Anne Hathaway. The Rock - you can just look at these names and tell it's gonna be hilarious, and it was. I think Steve's used to playing bumbling idiots with heart now, so that's just basically what got me hooked for the whole flick. Anne and The Rock were quite good, as well, great work!

Sigfried: How do I know you're not from CONTROL?
Max: If I were from CONTROL you'd already be dead.
Sigfried: If you were from CONTROL you'd already be dead.
Max: Well neither of us is dead so I'm obviously not from CONTROL.
Assistant Russian Dude (with Russian accent): That actually makes sense.

Chief: Can I talk to you for a minute, agent?
Agent: Sure, what's up, chief?
Chief: You need to control yourself.
Agent: I should be out there with Max, Chief! I'm not meant for office work!
Chief: That doesn't mean you should be jamming staples in people's heads! That's CIA!
