Hilariously fun book to read/sing to little ones. You start out by reading the poems then end up singing because the rhymes are offbeat words to familiar nursery rhyme songs. Rhymes and pictures are action packed truck and vehicle rhymes full of boy noises and fun things happening in the illustrations. Interestingly, my grand daughter loves it too because there are two girl vehicles (Gabriella or Gabby the Garbage truck and Rita the Rescue truck) that speed along with the boy trucks. Gabby the Garbage truck goes crunch crunch crunch (compacting the garbage) all the while with her little teddy bear stuck to the front of her bumper. Both Gabby and Rita the rescue truck have horns on their heads that look like bows. All the boy action sounds keep my grandson interested. Great art keeps them both interested in all the things going on the pages. Read also Race from A to Z with the same characters.

Great fun changing nursery rhymes to a truck theme. Boys especially love it.

Very specific rhymes to these Trucktown characters, rather than being truck-themed in general

Children will love the repetative nature of the rhymes and the older ones might even recognize them from the originals. Adults will like how thr rhymes have been adapted from the ones with which they are familiar. Some humour, both broad and subtle, help move the stories along.
