I wish this series could go on forever, but then it would be depressing, because there would be no real happy ending. Rick Riordan did good on this series.

Best book ever! It's AWESOME!!! It's a bit of a cliffhanger at the end but im pretty sure it leads to heroes of olympus. At first when Rachel appeared I didn't know who I should ship with Percy! But Rachel became the oracle and stuff so yeah... Annabeth and Percy KISSED though!!! How romantic! I bet Aphrodite was wathching that.

This book is amazing!!! It has a very rich plot, and a stunning conclusion that wraps the series up but also leaves it open for books in the future. It is also very well researched. Almost every aspect related to Greek Mythology is true, and the ones that aren't are created by the author and are related to the characters and plot. The ideas in the book aren't super far fetched, and are quite believable. All in all, this is a very good book and I would highly recommend it!!!

For some weird reason, I almost always like the second and last book of any series the best. This one did not disappoint! I always like the finale because it is usually where the final battle, romance, clear ideas about which side the characters are on, and deaths are. The surprises never stopped coming, and I was not annoyed by repetition like many other series I have read! I love Rick Riordan's books, mostly because I love mythology, but also because of the never ending cliff hangers!!! Ugh.... SO MANY CLIFF HANGERS!!!!!! I love it.
If you liked this series I would recommend the Kane Chronicles, my favorite by him so far, for the same reasons I would recommend the Percy Jackson series(s).

OK. So for the people who are dreading because you think
that the series are over; don't worry. you still have 5 books of percy jackson in front of you. The next one is "Heroes of Olympus: The Lost Hero." and don't get confused because all you see is a dude named Jason. Annabeth comes in at next chapter or two.

other than that, the last(not really ;0) book is AWESOME!!!

The prophecy has come to pass, can Percy make the decision that will change the world or will he make it come crashing down

red_zebu_50 Aug 15, 2014

Percy Jackson might make a choice when turning 16. This is what the Great Prophecy says; A hero (child of the Big Three) will make a choice when turning 16. Percy Jackson, However, his mortal friend Rachel tells him, "Perseus, you are not the hero." Luke was the hero. He sacrificed himself to save the gods and Olympus from being destroyed by Kronos.

SAPPHIREBEAR15 Jun 28, 2012

In order to try to head off Kronos' approach by sea, Percy and Beckendorf go to blow up his ship, the Princess Andromeda. However, Kronos is not caught off guard, and Beckendorf sacrifices his life to destroy the ship, while Percy dives overboard and is knocked out by Kronos' scythe when battling him on the ship. Percy is awakened by Tyson (a cyclops and Percy's half-brother). He finds that he is in his father Poseidon's underwater palace, which is under siege by the forces of the Titan Oceanus. Percy wants to stay and help fight with his father, but Poseidon sends Percy back to Camp Half-Blood. At Camp Half Blood, they learn about the mission and Silena, Beckendorf's girlfriend, is in tears. At a meeting Percy hears the Great Prophecy for the first time. Then Percy mentions that they have a spy, someone who has been informing the Titans for years, but they put it aside for now. The Ares cabin had a fight with the Apollo cabin, and is so furious that they wish not to fight in the war. Soon after arriving, Percy leaves again with Nico, son of Hades, to find out how he might stand a chance against Kronos when the time comes. After visiting Luke's mother and talking with Hestia (who is the Last Olympian), goddess of the hearth and home, Percy and Nico's aunt. Percy procures a blessing from his mother, descends into the Underworld for the second time. Here, Nico betrays Percy for information on his past, but he helps Percy with the original plan and bathes in the River Styx like Achilles and Luke before him.

This book was awesome! This book was so fascinating! Percy's big decision caught me by surprise. I very much enjoyed the books ending. i couldnt stop reading this book. This Book answered all my questions and it was very helpful. In the book it explained the spy, and to me they spy's action also surprised me in a good way. The great finght with the titan loard was one of my favorite scene in the book. Rick riordan did a very Terricif job of explaining every part of the scene and the details of all the monsters. i totally recommend this book. i would only recommend it if you read all the other books.
