The Black Adder is one of the most superb comedy series I've ever viewed. Frankly, I could watch an episode every day. I do not consider it possible that humor can become 'dated' -- or else why do people still read Shakespeare's comedies? The juicy, low-brow humor of Elizabethan England is obviously one of the reasons. What I like most about Blackadder is that it gives us a full picture of British history and of how the Englishman sees himself today. Rowan Atkinson, who is no fool, contributed to the first volume of this series and made an indelible image of the underhanded fool who nearly gained the throne of England through cowardice, cunning and sheer dumb luck in 1497. Atkinson's comedy is the full package and the entire series is highly recommended. Put your thinking cap on and Limey Up!

The humor seemed a bit dated...I had trouble getting back into the show.
