Lighthearted story of a trio of siblings having fun with grandma all day. The illustrations are super colorful and fun, conveying an overall sense of joy and nostalgia.

This is a fun book that playfully opens conversations about diverse families, working moms, single parents, multi-generational families, daily routines and the passing on of family recipes/traditions. The rhyming is joyful and non-repetitive. Two and three year olds will enjoy discovering new details in the pictures - including monsters, a very messy kitchen and outdoor play.

I expected a little more depth from Toni Morrison, I think. I mean, it's cute, and it will bring back lots of good Grandma memories for people, but this book really doesn't stand out as anything special.
