Meet Gilbert and Moira - the strangest couple to ever marry for each other's money. And enter, finally, the Cellinis, Gilbert's huge internecine stepfamily, whose fortune has not been amassed as innocently as Gilbert first thought, and who conform rather more closely to Italian-American stereotypes than Gilbert would like to believe.

Superb comic novel from Frasier writer Keenan. An impoverished songwriter hits on the perfect get rich scheme. Marry for the lavish gifts! Complications ensue when the bride turns out to have ties to organized crime.
Kennan keeps the plot moving with truly funny and inspired lines.

A comic gem.
Also worth checking out the same characters further adventures in Putting on the Ritz and Lucky Star.

If you love Jeeves and Wooster, you'll love this!
