Boring- the first two Terminator films are the best in the series- both written and directed by James Cameron.

This movie received some bad press, but it's really very entertaining! I enjoyed the action, the plotting, and the characters. It doesn't deserve the bad reviews. Watch it for yourselves!

Worst film in the franchise. Even worse than Genysis.

Was this Sci-Fi/Action flick really supposed to be some sort of "Salvation"!?

If nothing else, there was certainly one thing that could be confidently said about Terminator Salvation - When it came to blowing things up, it sure delivered that in aces. Yep. That it did.

But, with that said, if you actually went ahead and cut out all of those many scenes that contained any sort of an explosion in it, then you can bet that you'd end up with a "Salvation" whose running time would be easily reduced by about half.

As spectacular as many of the CGI explosions were (and, yes, they were plenty spectacular), with each subsequent detonation, they ultimately grew more and more routine and monotonous to watch.

All-in-all - Salvation's story, that deals with Judgement Day's aftermath and the inevitable take-over by machines, was infuriatingly convoluted and, yes, at this point, some 30 years later, very-very tiresome, indeed. Yawn to Salvation.

It's staggering to imagine that Salvation is the result of 9 writers contributing to it's script.

I like Christine Bale but not in this role, maybe he was preparing for Batman or just came from it, but the whole deep voice thing just doesn’t suit him. Overall there are some new interesting things but other than that the story is pretty lame. The main thing that gets me is everyone running around with guns when the terminators are bullet proof!! The end is awesome too when they perform open heart surgery in a tent!!! Of the movies in the terminator series this is by far my least favourite. If you are a terminator fan then you need to watch this (have very low expectations) otherwise give this a pass.

Good but not great. It's better than the third terminator film, but not anywhere near James Cameron's first two movies. It's a good popcorn flick for a rainy night when nothing is on television.

I'd rate this the fourth best Terminator film.
Bale is average, Worthington is fine. The action sequences are standard fare. My favourite part is when Arnold makes a CGI cameo.
This movie should be mildly enjoyed and then immediately forgotten.

The worst of the Terminator movies, but still a pretty good action sci-fi movie. The best effects of the series and probably the best acting, but just falls a little flat for me. Seems very much apart from the other movies. Tries valiantly to tie the other movies together and bring some sort of logical conclusion, but in my opinion fails. CGI Arnold was a lowlight as well. Still a pretty darn cool flick all things considered.

Friday night was a perfect example of why i love the weekend, HOMETHEATER, and Terminator Salvation. This film is filled with excellent sounds that can truly be enjoyed listening to it at reference level. Explosions had my wallls and floors vibrating from my two very capable subwoofers. Each film in the Terminator stories steps up in the audio as well as different killing machines. My friend and i were blown away by the different terminators and the visual effects. From the very large and tall terminator who's foot steps had my floors vibrating while reaching into the building grabbing survivers and firing it's shoulder cannon at those trying to get away. And then to blow our minds this very large teminator had a added surprise. Built in motor cycle terminators rolling down it's legs going in persuit of our heroes. That was sweet!!!! All the machines were impressive in visual and audio and it's "sound freak" approved!! Especially the flying machines and there were different kinds. Especially the one's chasing and attacking my secound favorite jet of all time, The mighty A-10 Thunderbolt. My first of course is the SR-71 followed by Mig 25 Foxbat. This was the second time my friend gave me high-fives while watching a movie. I recommend this film and give it 5 stars!!!!! For new killing machines. audio, visuals, a good story, a beautiful pilot, and a very surprising visit from Arnold. A very large toasted hero with ham, sliced pork, melted cheese, mustard, tomatoes, thin sliced pickles, and a cold bottle of heineken beer.
