Laurel McBane has always struggled to fit in with her well-to-do coworkers. Plagued by family scandal, Laurel reinvented herself, but was unable to shake her past. When her longtime crush Del Brown (brother of best friend Parker) shows interest in her, she struggles with labeling the relationship, and all of the gossip that comes with it.

I found this book to just be all right. I was very excited to read it once I understood that it would focus on the relationship between Del and Laurel. Yet when I read it I found something was lacking and I'm not quite sure what it is. The only thing I can really point to is how their relationship is built. It seems to follow a modern romance trend of the "hookup" generation, being that a relationship is built around avoiding the notion of labels or commitment. I really am not a fan of this kind of relationship development. Lastly, I'm really bothered by the use of slang between the characters (Like MOB for Mother of the Bride). For me, it all seems forced and unnatural.

This is my favorite in the Bride Quartet.I think it's because I like Laurel and Del the best!

Good book. Nice easy, enjoyable read. Looking forward to reading the other books. The Bride Quartet books seem very similar to the Barefoot Bay books by Roxanne St Claire. Both great easy reads. Nothing too serious - Happy endings! Enjoy!

This was by far my favorite! I love it. I even got choked up a few times during book and not on mushy stuff. Laurel is so real, raw and relatable. I love this story! It happened just like a real story vs the first two that were a little more fairytale-y.

Can't wait to move on to the 4th! I'm sad it's the last one in the series but can't wait to see what happens to Parker.

Also, those who love to workout and read, this is a great one!

It's okay. If you want mindless, it-all-works-out-in-the-end, this is for you. Kind of boring though.

By far my favourite of the series. Perfect chick-lit read.

Definitely the best in the series! Loved it. Lauren and Dell are down to earth people who seem to understand that nothing should be taken for granted in life, friendship and/or love.
