In this installment, Poldi's character solidifies, along with Montana's and her nephew's. Her plans to drink herself to a blissful death in Sicily are thwarted again, as she becomes entangled in yet another intrigue. And because Poldi knows a thing or two about wine and the behaviour of men, she must, of course, intervene. I am heartily looking forward to the next installment announced for spring of 2020.
P.S. The original was written in German, not Italian, as stated in another review. There is a hearty Bavarian-Italian connection in these stories.
