Following their adventures in Twice upon a time, May, Jack and Philip, believe they found their place. With a trail of secrets, betrayal and just plain confusion, James Riley continues the story of the unforgettable characters in Once Upon the End. This is the concluding book in the trilogy and it does not disappoint, with the wonder and suspense that left the reader wondering, what now? After betrayals and hard decisions, Jack and May are back for the ending of their fairy tales. This book is a wonderful ending, that answers and ties up all the loose ties and questions, with the journey that doesn’t seem to stop. With the final battle and truth against the Evil Queen, Jack and May are left questioning who's really good and evil, going against many stereotypes in the average fairy tale. Overall, this book is a bit more on the serious side after many humour-filled encounters. Jack, May and Philip are risking a lot more that their friendship. However, it wouldn’t be a proper ending without characters as stubborn, cunning and sly as Jack and May. Overall, it is an amazing conclusion to an amazing trilogy. - @Because_Logic of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library
