The writing is OK but the mystery isn't. (Though it's a wee bit better than the Celtic Riddle). The author uses the device of a fictitious piece of Etruscan art to take you on a quick European tour and give you a lesson on antiquities. Unfortunately, she is very bad at story-telling. The plot is a mess. And she is fond of getting rid of good-looking men. The ridiculous last chapter where the mystery is explained should be used as a lesson to writers on how not to solve a mystery.
