A tale of three loose cannons whose lives intersect in ways only Hollywood can dream up. The self-pitying, entitled, rude, whiny Kathy could have stopped the whole mess before it even began if she wasn't such an immature, self absorbed little twit, the chauvanistic, accustomed-to-power, arrogant Behrani who is, unfortunately, given to dramatic and grotesque statements, and Lester, an oddly undeveloped character who appears to be a fully sane, mature man of law-and-order one minute and an unbelievable nutcase the next. The two leading characters in this story could have tried going through ordinary legal avenues to obtain adequate recompense for all their loss and damage from the county (the only real wrongdoer in the story - although Kathy's original inaction was ridiculous and her later spur to inappropriate action was equally ridiculous), they even qualified financially for free legal aid, but no, they have to tear each other apart instead. And of course, innocent bystanders are caught in the fallout. In the end I cared not one iota what happened to the very foolish Kathy or the equally foolish Lester, and I was appalled by Behrani. But I was left wondering what would happen to the completely uninvolved and largely unmentioned remaining daughter of Behrani, who was doomed to perhaps suffer the most of all going forward, in her rigid appearance- and class-centric society....
